adidas Boost Boston set to return May 19-20
The adidas Boost Boston Games are set to return May 19-20! The only meet of its kind in North America, the adidas Boost Boston Games combines a traditional elite middle distance track meet with a "street meet," with an elevated track constructed in a major city center for elite competition.
The first part of the 2018 adidas Boost Boston Games will take place on Saturday, May 19 at Henry G. Steinbrenner Stadium on the campus of MIT in Cambridge, Mass., and will feature Olympians and world-class middle distance runners competing in distances ranging from 800m up to 5000m, as well as the elite adidas Dream Miles for the top high school boys and girls milers in the United States, and youth and local club races, as well. Admission to Saturday evening portion is open and free to the public.
The adidas Boost Boston Games will reach its climax on Sunday, May 20, when Olympic and World Championships sprinters compete on a specially elevated, five-lane straightaway down Charles Street, between the Public Garden and Boston Common in the center of Boston. Last year, Olympic gold medalists Tori Bowie and Shaunae Miller-Uibo set world records for the straight 150m and 200m, respectively.
VIP Tickets, along with initial athlete announcements, will be available soon. The rest of whole of straghtaway is free and open to view for the public.
